Sunset Funeral Service is a small, home-grown funeral service with a strong commitment to caring for families in Kneehill County and the surrounding areas for over 30 years.
Founded in 1993 by Gary Barkman, Brian Baerg, and Rod Wiebe, Sunset Funeral Service was built on a foundation of integrity, compassion, and care. Starting out in a small chapel near Linden, AB, the business grew, leading to the acquisition of a second chapel in Trochu, AB, in 2015.
Today, Sunset Funeral Service is owned by Rod and Judy Wiebe, with Rod and Meagan Parra-Munoz managing the day-to-day operations. The team also includes Judy Wiebe and bookkeeper Wanda Unruh, along with dedicated funeral attendants who are ready to assist with services of all sizes (for more information, visit our staff page).
