Wanda Jayne was born March 11, 1981 to Rodney and Aldine Goossen. She grew up on the family farm near Stenen, SK and went to school at the Northstar School. She accepted Jesus and was baptized into the Church of God in Christ Mennonite when she was 13 years old. Wanda was a faithful Christian and serving others was important to her. The 6 months she spent in the Childrens Home in Gallup, New Mexico were a highlight in her life. Her love of children drew her to teaching school. She taught in Hyas, SK, Altona, MB and Dewberry, AB. While teaching in Dewberry, she fell in love with Cameron Toews and they were married on August 17, 2008 in Hyas, SK. This past August was their 10th anniversary. They celebrated earlier in the summer with a trip to San Diego with their girls. The girls were the centre of Cam and Wandas life. Sophia Aldine was born December 8, 2011, Naomi Jayne arrived July 31, 2015 and Isla Caroline was born October 19, 2018, the same day Wanda went to be with Jesus. The last couple days before Isla was born, Wanda was especially happy and she was so excited about going back home. Isla Caroline was named by Cam and Sophia from Wandas list of favorite names. While we dont understand the timing, we know God must have needed another Angel. Wanda was interested in what was going on in everyones life, and a family deal wasnt complete if someone was missing. Each one of her siblings and their children held a special place in her heart. Wandas big heart and caring nature showed in her long list of people she prayed for. She loved being around people and her contagious chuckle could always be heard. Her dry sense of humour was often unexpected and we wondered if she was even trying to be funny. Wanda was a busy mom, but never passed up a shopping trip with her sisters or friends and could always find a good deal. She loved being outside in the sunshine, looking after her flowers and garden. Saying good bye with broken hearts are; Cam, Sophia Aldine, Naomi Jayne and Isla Caroline. Her parents Rodney and Aldine Goossen, her family Heather and Curtis Warkentin, Greg and Paula Goossen, Sherri and Rocky Warkentin, Mathew and Brooke Goossen. Cams parents Daryl and Loretta Toews, Cams family Tina and Bruce Klassen, Nola and Craig Toews. She will also be missed by all her precious nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles who meant so much to her. Wanda was welcomed into Heaven by all of her grandparents.
