Wanda passed away suddenly on November 14, 2024 at the age of 69. She was predeceased by her parents Grace Thackeray Heater and Elmer Roy Heater, as well as her sister Marilynn Johanna Heater. Wanda will be greatly missed by her loving sisters Sue Bowers (Glenn), Trudi Simms (Carl) and Leslie Tilley (Bruce), as well as her brother Jim Heater, and many nieces and nephews.

Wanda was a long-time employee of Calgary Transit (1981-2016) where her friendly smile would brighten everyone's day. Her last few years were spent working for AMPM Limousine (2017-2024), where she met her best employers Wali, Umer and Rafiq Raja who treated her like family. Wanda lived her best life driving limousine and looking after their many dogs, cats, goats, horses and chickens. She loved her second family and treasured every moment with them. She was truly happy.

A private Celebration of Life was held November 24, 2024. In lieu of flowers, donations to the SPCA or an animal charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
