On November 21, 2024, Jeanne Thiessen passed away peacefully while in the care of Rosehaven Care Facility in Camrose, Alberta. She was born in Swalwell, Alberta on July 28, 1933, to parents John and Mary Suderman. Her childhood was filled with joy and laughter, along with her six siblings, brothers Jack and Jim, sisters, Doris, Joyce, Venice and Patsy. Jeanne attended school in Alberta and early on developed her passion for being creative, whether it was art, knitting, sewing, or interior design. Jeanne met the love of her life, Roy Thiessen, and they were married in 1954 and shared 61 wonderful years together. They had 4 children, Debra (Ian), Robbin (Tina), Kelly (Ruth), and Cheryl (Ches).

Throughout the years Jeanne became a very accomplished artist. She won awards and her work has been displayed in many places and homes all over the world.

Jeanne's kindness in her life never had a motive. Her kind spirit shone brightly. It's been said that your life is made up of two dates and a dash. Jeanne accomplished a lot in her dash. All her family and friends felt her faith, love and compassion she shared in that dash, and if you were lucky to be part of that group, we all know God has received a pretty powerful angel.

She was pre-deceased by her husband Roy (2015), daughter Debra (2024), and son-in-law Ian (2023). Her remaining children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews will miss her dearly.
