It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Timothy Joseph Bartlett, who passed away on August 13, 2026, at the age of 70 years.

Tim was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a man of loyalty, devotion, and quiet strength, and the love he had for his family was evident throughout his life.

Tim proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1976 to 1981 as an Electronics Technician Third Class, serving aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln. His military service was something he carried with pride and was an important part of his life.

Perhaps no part of Tim's life better demonstrated the kind of man he was than the love and devotion he showed to his wife, Penny Leigh Bartlett. Tim adored Penny and remained faithfully by her side throughout their life together, especially during the many health challenges she faced in her later years. He ultimately chose to retire early so that he could remain at home and personally give her the love, care, and support she deserved.

He never wavered in his commitment to her. He cared for Penny until her passing in January 2020, demonstrating through his actions what true love, loyalty, and marriage truly mean. In doing so, Tim gave his son an example that would last a lifetime—teaching him not simply through words, but through the way he lived, what it means to truly love and care for your wife.

Tim leaves behind his son, Chris Bartlett, and daughter-in-law, Sonia Bartlett; and his three cherished grandchildren, Mathew Caleb Bartlett-Bligh, Natashia Camila Bartlett, and Jaxon Alexander Bartlett.

He is also survived by his five siblings, Mike Bartlett, Mark Bartlett, Becky Collins, Paul Bartlett, and Beth Tanner, along with extended family and friends who will deeply miss him.

Tim's passing leaves an emptiness that cannot be filled, but the lessons he taught, the love he gave, and the example he set will continue through his family for generations to come.

He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A Graveside Service will be held at the Three Hills Cemetery, Three Hills, AB, on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.

If family and friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Kidney Foundation of Canada or the Children's Aid Foundation of Canada.
