Joining this world in July of 1940, Sonia Kennedy (Wik) passed away December 14, 2025 with her daughter by her side. She is now with her beloved husband "Bobby" Robert Kennedy whom she cherished throughout their 37 married years as well as her oldest infant granddaughter Rebbeca Ann Chick.

Sonia leaves behind her four cherished daughters: Sherry (Frank), Penny (Ron), Maureen (Steve) and Jackie (Greg) as well as her six grandchildren: Melissa (Justin), Dylan (Sam), Cole, Reese, Cass, Quinn and great granddaughters, Emily and Khloe (children to Melissa & Justin).

Born and raised in Huxley, Sonia married and settled there, where her and Bob raised their family and lived til his passing in 1995. The past 28 years she lived in Calgary and mostly Airdrie.

Sonia's 85-year life celebration will be at the Trochu Community Centre, Trochu, AB, Tuesday, December 23, 1: 00 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Livestream will be available as well.
