Ruth Beatrice Gordon, nee Crawford, (September 13, 1948 – May 27, 2017) was born and raised in and around Hanna, Alberta to David and Beatrice Crawford. Ruth enjoyed much that life has to offer, with her most cherished moments being time spent with her mom and dad, working at the Royal Bank in Hanna, marrying Don Gordon from Craigmyle and raising their two children, Christian and Evonne. Ruth loved playing the piano, shopping, church, and sewing. She made it her business to ensure that her children took piano lessons, learned about Jesus, and had fun playing outside on their farm. She was a woman of great integrity, a strong sense of fairness, and a heart that loved very deeply. She is predeceased by her mother, father, and brother David (whom she knew only through stories). She is survived by her loving husband Donald, two children Christian (Lisa Allen) and Evonne and grandchildren, Ethan, Liam, Enya and Euan. She is also survived by her sister Alice Mashon (Les), brothers-in-law Mac and Ray (Elaine) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Her kind and gentle soul will be missed greatly. A memorial service will be held in Hanna, at Redeemer Lutheran Church on Thursday at 11:00am. She will be interred at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Pine Lake.
