Our hearts hurt to have to announce the passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. On July 29th, in Olds, Alberta, surrounded by his loved ones, he passed away peacefully to be with his Lord and Saviour in Heaven. Roy was born on June 28, 1930 in Swalwell, Alberta. While growing up in the area, he met the love of his life, Jeanne Suderman, and they were married June 5, 1954. They raised four children together. Roy worked various jobs until he was hired as a parts person at Linden Agri-Centre Ltd. and later became a partner until his retirement in 1995. Woodworking was one of the many ways he spent his retirement. Roy was pre-deceased by his parents, his 3 brothers and 4 sisters. He is survived by his wife Jeanne, four children, Debra (Ian), Rob (Tina), Kelly (Ruth), Cheryl (Chester), and twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Memorial Donations in Roy's name can be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta Memorial services were held Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Zion Evangelical Missionary Church, Didsbury, AB with interment in Linden Cemetery.
