Obituary

Rosemarie Anne Bent (nee Young) joined the angels on September 15, 2016. Rosemarie's parents, Phyllis and Lawrence Young met while they were both serving in the armed forces. They married on November 24, 1945. Rosemarie was born in England on August 30, 1946. At the age of three months she travelled with her mother to Pier 21 in Halifax, Nova Scotia to reunite with her father who had immigrated previously. Rosemarie's family grew as 2 brothers and 4 sisters arrived - Dennis, Barbara, Carolyn, Meryln, Christina and Pamela. She lived her young life in Phinneys Cove, Nova Scotia where she enjoyed fishing and picking wild berries. She met Lowell and they were married on March 30, 1968. They lived in Beaconsfield, Nova Scotia for 30 years prior to moving to Acme, Alberta in 1998. In her adult life she liked to hook rugs and was an extraordinary toile painter. She also enjoyed attending auctions and crafts shows. She worked for 10 years with an auctioneer. She loved to travel throughout Canada. Rosemarie was predeceased by her father in 1972 and her brother Dennis in 2001. Her love will live on inside of those she leaves to mourn including her loving, caring, and devoted husband Lowell, her three children Lisa (Murray), Robert (Linda) and Heidi (Jim); her grandchildren: Alex, Justen and Katherine (Matthew) and one great grandchild Henry; her mother Phyllis; four sisters; one brother; nieces and nephews and many friends.
