It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Richard C. Hoffert, on November 23, 2024, at the age of 86.

Born on May 22, 1938, in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, Richard grew up on the family farm alongside his eight siblings. At a young age, during his father's illness, he took on significant responsibilities to manage the farm and care for his siblings, showcasing his unwavering dedication to family and his remarkable work ethic.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Yvonne Hoffert, and their four children: Debbie (and her husband, Dan Page), Ken (and his wife, Heather), Donna, and Wayne (and his wife, Cindy). He was a proud grandfather to 13 grandchildren and a great-grandfather to 35 great-grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent with his family. Together, they created countless memories filled with love and laughter.

For close to 50 years, Richard ran his own Accounting Practice as a respected accountant, and Financial Planner. Known for his meticulous attention to detail and commitment to his clients, he built lasting relationships based on trust and honesty.

Richard found great joy in the outdoors, whether it was gardening, golfing, fishing, or camping with his family. These activities captured the essence of his sense of humour and down-to-earth nature.

Richard was a proud, hardworking man who fought until the very end. He will be missed deeply by all who knew him, but his love, strength and resilience will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Rest easy, Dad. Your work here is done, and you did it well.

Richard's life will be honored at a Private Funeral Service , followed by cremation. His family will lay him to rest in Blumenfeld, Saskatchewan.
