It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Neil Jacob Hempel. Neil was born on the family farm in Beiseker March 26, 1931 to Annie and Jack Hempel. He had a love of farming and watching all things grow. His love of horses was only surpassed by his love for his family. Neil will be missed by his wife of 62 years Audrey (nee Fischer) , his oldest son Randy Hempel (his special friend Sherri Thompson) and his boys Trevor (Jan), Darren (Shelley), Eric (Gina); Dwayne Hempel; Bruce Hempel (Rina) and his girls Lisa (John) Wurz, Amanda (Andrew) Gluebrecht , Bobi Edelmann(Cody), Katie Edelmann (Hunter); Glenda (Alan) Stone, and her girls Krysta (Kendall) Kleiboer, Karina Stone(Jesse), Kaylene Stone (Morgan); As well as 9 great grandchildren, his sister Violet Hempel and numerous nieces and nephews. Neil was predeceased by his parents Annie and Jacob Hempel, 3 brothers and 6 sisters. Neil loved the cowboy lifestyle and he made a beautiful life through his hard work, his honesty, and his passion for farming. His love for his family and his community allowed him to make many friends who knew his handshake was his word which was better than any contract. His ability to laugh and love and make lasting memories made him a favorite to many. Memorial donations may be made to the Acme Elks.
