Myra Joan (Isaac) Bundt was born at Fort Vermilion, Alberta, on February 12, 1961. She departed this life on May 21, 2016, reaching the age of 55 years. She was at home when she passed away, cared for by her sons. Her death was caused by colon cancer, which she had battled for the last number of years. Along with two sisters, Lyn George and Janet Umphrey, Joan was chosen and adopted by Mary Isaac at the Fort Vermilion children's home at a very young age. While the children were still very young, Mary moved her little family to Linden, Alberta. This is where she started and finished her schooling. She received her high school diploma at the Dr. Elliott School. Although not an active member of the church, Joan was an active member of the community over the years. She had a strong belief in God, and these beliefs were instilled in her heart at a young age by her mother, Mary. Some time before Joan passed away, she mentioned her appreciation for what her mother had done for her. Joan married Kelly Bundt on June 29, 1996, at Dogpound, Alberta. She was a part-time house keeper and full time mother to four boys: Cory Isaac, Kyle Isaac, Rodney Bundt, and Trevor Bundt. At various times in her life she lived at Fort Vermilion, Linden, Bottrel, and Cochrane, all in Alberta. Joan was a very good homemaker and appreciated neatness. She loved flowers and enjoyed gardening. She was a faithful, gentle, loving friend with a ready smile and a giggle for those that would spend time with her. In her younger days she would babysit for her cousins and make scrapbooks for their birthdays. Those left with memories are her four sons: Cory Isaac, Calgary, Alberta; Kyle Isaac, Vancouver, BC; Rodney Bundt, and Trevor Bundt, both of Cochrane, Alberta; her sisters: Lyn George and Janet Umphrey; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Isaac.
