Melinda Easton, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2024, in Three Hills, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 6, 1954, in Trochu, Melinda's vibrant spirit and joy for life touched everyone she met.

Melinda, known for her kind heart and infectious smile, spent her life creating a world of warmth and love for those around her. She was a beacon of light in her community, always ready to lend an ear or share a comforting word over a cup of coffee. Her home was a hub of laughter and conversation, a testament to her ability to make everyone feel welcomed and valued.

Above all, Melinda cherished her family. She is survived by her devoted son, Al Pickering, and his wife, Jill. She was a proud grandmother to Joel (Emily), Sara (Nathan), Hayden (Mariah), and Kate (Ethan), who brought immeasurable joy to her life. Her sister, Teresa Fisher (Cecil), and nephews, Rob (Daryl), Randy (Cassondra), and Terry (Nikki), and their children will fondly remember her unwavering support. Melinda's long-time friend, Kevin Short, will miss the deep conversations and shared memories that spanned their enduring friendship.

Melinda was predeceased by her parents, Helga and Ervin Hein, who instilled in her the values of love and kindness that she carried throughout her life.

The void left by Melinda's passing is immeasurable, yet her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at peace after her courageous battle with cancer. Melinda's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of joy, kindness, and love. Her laughter, her warmth, and her unwavering positivity will be remembered by her family, friends, and the community she so dearly loved. As we bid farewell to Melinda we celebrate a life well-lived. Rest in peace, dear Melinda, We loved you and miss you dearly.
