Amy's Tribute

Marcel and Kailey—some knew him as Marcel, others knew her as Kailey, but only a few of us knew them as both. I knew Kailey well; Marcel, I only knew through stories—some good, some bad, even horrible at times, but also special and unforgettable.

Kailey had her own strengths and weaknesses, but she also embodied many of Marcel's, creating a beautiful blend that made them who they were. A good, reliable best friend, an excellent and knowledgeable football buddy, a faithful son who would do anything for his mum. We met and fell in love three years ago, which feels like ages now, yet still far too short a time together. During that time, Kailey healed my hurting heart and soul as I did hers. Marcel protected and provided for my every need, as I did for him, and we found true, authentic peace and happiness in our lives together.

I know Marcel made mistakes in the past, but he learned from them and became the kind of person who would help wherever they could and wouldn't steal from you, even if there was $2000 on the table—though your baggie of pot might be a little lighter, lol.

Marcel, my Kailey, you are forever loved and will be deeply missed.

He was a beautiful person who loved his family and friends and would help anyone that needed it, He would give his last dollar to a stranger if they needed it more than he did.
