Northcott Magdelena Mary, born July 27 1931. We sadly said goodbye to her on November 30/2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. Lena was the eldest daughter of William and Mary Schwengler and was born on a farm Northwest of Beiseker. Lena married George Northcott who farmed near Bircham where she has resided for over 65 years. Lena spent her last 3 months at the Villa Marie care center in Red Deer. She will forever be remembered by her family as a devoted Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, sister and Auntie. Lena was predeceased by sisters Delores and Marie and by brothers Frank and Ken. She leaves behind 2 sons Jim (Janice) and Doug (Margaret), 5 Grandchildren, 7 great Grandchildern, 2 sisters, 1 brother and numerous Nieces and Nephews. The communities of Bircham, Acme and Beiseker will remember her as a supportive neighbour, volunteer and long time member of many community organizations. Lena enjoyed her spare time baking, gardening and enjoyed being outdoors spending time with family and freinds. Our sincere gratitude to the 2nd floor supportive living staff at the Villa Marie who treated Lena like she was part of their family..
