Lucille Harriet Marie Siltala, "Harriet" was born to Floyd and Violet Weis at Trochu, Alberta on November 29, 1946. She passed away peacefully at the Three Hills Hospital on October 11, 2015 at the age of 68. Harriet grew up with two brothers and three sisters: Roy, Hazel, Velma, Marjorie, and Howard. On December 12, 1964 she married Charles Siltala. Together they lived on the family farm west of Trochu. They raised two children, Wayne and Keith. Harriett was a long time member of the Trochu Royal Purple to which she was dedicated and devoted to when she was able. A special thanks goes to Dr. Chari and the staff of Three Hills Health Care Centre, as well as to all of Harriet's friends for their kindness and support at this difficult time. Harriet leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Charlie; sons Wayne and Keith (Shelly); and two grandchildren, Zachary and Miranda. She is predeceased by granddaughter Katrisha. Memorial services were held Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Trochu Community Hall, Trochu, Alberta with Reverend Pat Dyson officiating. Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's United Church General Fund.
