IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lloyd Allen
Boles
September 30, 1956 – December 17, 2025
If life is a highway, Lloyd knew when to take it to the limit.
Born September 30, 1956, in Three Hills, Alberta, Lloyd was the second child of George and Doreen Boles.
In his late teens and twenties, he lived life in the fast lane, working on drilling rigs across Western Canada, where he discovered his passion for the open road and for trucking. This passion would last most of his career and eventually lead him to found Longrider Enterprises.
In 1981, Lloyd met Leigh Boake, the love of his life and loving father to Michael, shaping the man he would become. As a family, they navigated life’s twists and turns, celebrations, and adventures with an unwavering bond.
The family moved back to Three Hills to take it easy, be closer to family, and care for aging parents. Lloyd continued to drive a truck, working for Kneehill County, and helping his brother with the family farm.
Highlighting his mechanical ability and natural patience, Lloyd and Leigh restored a 1974 Plymouth 'Cuda. A passion that led them to travel to car shows throughout Alberta and British Columbia, winning countless awards, but the crowning achievement came in 2005 at MOPARS AT THE STRIP in Las Vegas, where Lloyd won the People's Choice Award.
Lloyd’s smile lit up a room; he held lifelong friendships and told stories that could only happen to him. He lived life on his own terms, and while he may have checked out, the memories will never leave.
Lloyd is survived by his strong, devoted wife, Leigh; his son and best friend, Michael (incredible daughter-in-law, Julie); his brothers, Don (Laura) and Larry (Marilee); and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, George and Doreen Boles, and his sister, Norma Jean.
