Lilly Isaac Bronson was born to David and Elizabeth Toews Isaac on April 30,1932, at Rosenort, MB. She peacefully passed away July 31, 2017, at Westview Care Community, Linden, AB, at age of 85 years. She lived a very active, full life until a few months ago. Her failing health was due to cancer. Lilly grew up on the family farm near Rosenort, MB. She was the fifth of eleven children and attended the Pleasant Valley School, a two mile walk for her. She had a new birth experience and was baptized by Minister John D. Penner, on December 21, 1947, becoming a member of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. She remained faithful to God. On August 24, 1952, Lilly married me, Leroy Bronson, at Rosenort, MB. Five daughters and one son were born to us. The Lord granted us a few weeks short of 65 years together. We spent most of our life at Crooked Creek, AB. The first years we moved to the lumber camp every fall, and back home again in spring, until we moved to Linden in 1963. There we lost our 14 year old daughter, Ruby, tragically on Christmas eve 1969. In 1983, we moved back to Crooked Creek where Lillys highlights were her big garden and her flowers, especially roses. We moved a few times, until we settled back in Linden. Lilly was a lover of people and made friends easily. She loved nature and noticed the clouds. The very morning she left us, there was a beautiful sun and cloud formation in the eastern sky. Her baking was a gift she shared with many. She also enjoyed quilting. Her humming and singing, especially in the morning, are a treasured memory. She dedicated herself to her childrens needs. As her health failed her and she had to let go of the things she enjoyed, she was thankful for the help and care of others. Although her wish was to remain here with her family, she submitted her will to God. Left to cherish fond memories are: husband, Roy; Carol and Menno Yoder, Maysville, AR; Virginia Bronson, Crooked Creek, AB; David, Linden, AB; Beulah and Merle Reimer, Bow Island, AB; and Laura and Dennis McNab, Linden, AB; 22 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 1 brother, 4 sisters and 3 sisters-in-law. She was predeceased by her daughter, parents, 4 brothers and 1 sister. She was always very thankful for the care of the nurses and doctors and especially for the care at Westview Care Community.
