BOAKE – Lily Boake (nee Wainwright) passed away on November 25, 2015 at the age 94. Lil was born on March 15, 1923 at Milo Alberta. She was the youngest of 4 children born to George and Elizabeth Wainwright. Lil married Melvin Reese (Bud) Boake on June 11, 1949. They had four children Lynn (Lew) Patterson of Whitefish Montana, Edward J.W. Boake Deceased, Reese Boake of Acme AB, Leigh (Lloyd) Boles of Okotoks AB. They have 4 grandsons Michael (Julie) Boake, Rusty Patterson, Brent Boake & Trevor Boake, and numerous nieces and nephews. Lil was predeceased by her husband Melvin Reese (Bud) Boake, her parents George and Elizabeth Wainwright, her sisters Winnifred Tester, Florence Wainwright, Nora Jones and her son Edward J.W. Boake. Lil took her early years of schooling in Milo and completed her high school at Western Canada High in Calgary where she was also chosen to be the valedictorian upon graduating. Lil enjoyed promoting Downsview Farm and the Shorthorn industry. She spent time on both editions of the Acme History Book and loved to sew and garden.
