Obituary

Leonard Robert Mullock (Bob) was born in 1941 and raised in Somme, Saskatchewan by his mother Minnie Mullock and his siblings Roy, Gladys and Don. His father Robert Mullock served our country in WW2 and passed during that time. Bob had a passion for hockey. He played as a young boy and continue that passion with his sons, grandsons and great grandsons. He worked with several farmers in the community as a farm hand. In the 60's he moved his career into the oil and gas industry working in seismic. He met his wife Betty in 1962 and shortly after they married. He changed his career to working on the rigs. In 1963, Dawn the first born joined the family, and in 1965 Carla came along. In 1967, he packed his wife and daughters up and we all moved to Calgary. At this time, he went back to the seismic industry. In 1969, he welcomed his first son Michael to the family, and in 1971 he welcomed his second son Cody. His family was now complete. The family continued to reside in Calgary until 1973 when they purchased the farm in Acme, Alberta. Betty raised the family while Bob worked away from home in the seismic industry. Every summer Betty would pack up the trailer and the kids and off to whatever part of the country he was working. In 1980, Bob and Betty bought their first Peruvian Paso horse and joined the Peruvian Horse club of Canada. They met several people who they continue to be very close and dear friends with. In 1992, Bob missed his family and decide to take another career move. It was still in the oil and gas industry, but as a Marketing Manager for River Valley. Bob retired in 2012 and spent all his free time with family. He had many interests in his life time, but his passion was his family, animals and nature.
