Obituary

Kimberly Suzanne (nee-Gabriel) Connery was born to Klaus and Susan Gabriel on May 14, 1973. She was the second child of five. She was born in New Market, Ontario and moved to Alberta with her family when she was 5 years old, living in Calgary, Wetaskiwin, High Level, and homesteading in Tompkins Landing near La Crete, AB. Kim attended school in La Crete, graduating in 1991. She went on to the University of Calgary and received her Bachelor of Education. Kim worked for many years with Revenue Canada and retired on May 25, 2015. Kim was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in September 2012. After fighting cancer for over 3 years, she sadly lost her battle on January 25, 2016. Kim lost her mother in 2007 to the same strain of cancer. Her grandmother Betty Manners lives in Peterborough, Ontario and is very sad to lose another child to this terrible disease. Kim leaves to mourn: her beautiful sixteen-year-old daughter Chloe; her husband Tim; her father and step-mother Klaus and Cathy Gabriel; her brother Jason and his wife Carol, and their daughter Stephanie and her husband Kevin; her grandniece Adelynn Dyck; her nephew Derek and his girlfriend Jenna; her nephew Gregory and his wife Tamara; her sister Cyndi Gabriel-Dwyer and her sons Austin and Dylan Dwyer; her sister Tina and her husband Cameron and children Autumn, Kiara and Squire Donald; and her youngest brother Mark and his wife Raelynn. Kim had many wonderful friends who comforted her to the very end. Kim will be fondly remembered and much missed by all of us. Funeral services were held January 29, 2016 at Linden Alliance Church, Linden, Alberta with interment in Linden Cemetery.
