Kevin William Beecroft (also known as Donny Sjolie) passed away at his home in Linden, Alberta, on February 26, 2017, at the age of 49. Kevin is survived by his loving partner, Chantal Dumont, as well as numerous brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, and long-time friends. Kevin was born on November 13, 1967. He grew up in Abbotsford, BC, and later moved to Alberta where he met the love of his life, Chantal. Life was not always kind to Kevin but with Chantal by his side, he found happiness and they spent many wonderful years together. Kevin always loved the ocean and lived on Vancouver Island for a time. He also had a love of music and played the guitar. He was an amazingly talented artist. Kevin had a fiery temper but also laughed easily. He had a heart of gold and would do anything to help someone out. Kevin had been valiantly fighting cancer for a few years before his passing. He was very brave and maintained a positive attitude with Chantal by his side, lovingly supporting him. Kevin will be greatly missed. Rest in peace - we will love you forever. He Only Takes the Best God saw that he was getting tired, A cure was not to be. So He put His arms around him and whispered, "Come with Me." With tearful eyes, we watched him suffer, And saw him fade away. Although we loved him dearly, We could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes "the best".
