Herman C. Penner, age 84, passed away peacefully to be with his Lord on January 7th, 2022, at the Peter Lougheed Center. Herman was born in Sunnyslope, Alberta on February 5th, 1937, to Cornelius and Helen Penner. He grew up on the family farm west of Sunnyslope with his siblings John and Selma. Herman attended the Salem School in Sunnyslope, Alberta and went on to further his education at Olds College. Following the death of his father, Herman took over the family farm in 1969. In November 1964 Herman married Dorothy Leard of Prince Edward Island. Together Herman and Dorothy had three children, Dianne, Kathy and Jason. Herman was predeceased by his parents Cornelius and Helen. He is survived by his wife Dorothy, his children Dianne Dick (Clarence), Kathy Megli (Lyle) and Jason Penner. His grandchildren Curt, Laura, Meagan, Doug, and Josh as well as two great grandchildren Evie and Leo. Herman will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
