Harvey had the heart of a true cowboy. Born in Calgary, Alberta, he embraced the western way of life with pride and purpose. Aside from a few early years spent in Saskatchewan, he lived his entire life in Alberta.
He raised his family and built a life doing what he loved most-working with horses. From his home and training facility in Acme, he shared his passion for horsemanship. His kitchen table was always open to customers and friends, with hot coffee ready, and the table often scattered with well-read books and magazines. It was a place where stories were told, advice was shared and conversations were had.
Over the course of his life, Harvey worked as a veterinarian technician, professional farrier, and even a member of the Calgary City Police. But it was always the horses, along with his values of hard work, faith, and integrity-that defined his path and the way he lived his life.
Harvey's Memorial Service will be at the Acme United Church in Acme, Alberta on August 22, 2025 at 2pm. He will be laid to rest at the Acme Cemetery.
