Gordon was born in Innisfail and grew up in the Wimborne area. He was very active in baseball and hockey. Gordon worked away from home on the drilling rigs for Catus Drilling. He started out in tank truck business and was very busy in the Wimborne area working with his trucks for Mobil Oil and other various other oil companies. Gordon will be sadly missed by family and friends. Gordon is survived by stepson Ian (Ling) Robertson, brothers: Robert (Bob), Charles, Dave, Vern, Bert; sisters, Carol Glimpel, Dianne Smith, Sharon Page, Linda Zerbe; Giles Alard (friend). He is predeceased by his wife Joyce Whatley, parents Tim and Jessie Whatley, brother Jack (John), brothers-in-law Rainer Glimpel and Ken Zerbe; sisters Olive (George) Metzger, Doris Matheau, Baby Ethel and sister-in-law Martha Whatley (Bob).
