George was born in Calgary on February 21st, 1964. He was the fourth child of Frank and Zena Grainger. George was raised on the family farm 13.5 miles east of Beiseker on the #9 highway. He attended school in Beiseker and got his faith at Beiseker St Mary's Catholic Church. George enjoyed curling, hunting, and playing pool. At the age of 32 George had a massive heart attack and had to hav ethe paddles used on him several times to revive him, leaving him with only 3/4 of his heart functioning. That started his life history of heart problems. George leaves behind a daughter Amanda (Joe) Kelly and their children Seth and Brooke, son Jason (Holly) Grainger and their children Elanor and Landen. He is also survived by sister Darlene (Ken) Ward, brother Brian (Gail) Grainger, and sister LeeAnne Turnbull as well as numerous neices and nephews. George was cremated and will be laid to rest in the Beiseker Catholic Cemetery. We would like to thank his care givers at the Chateau Three Hills where he had been living for the past two months.
