Gayle Roxanne (Kroeker) Driediger, Adventure Queen and Traveler, began her biggest adventure Sunday, May 1, 2022. Sadly, Douglas Driediger, her husband of 41 years and best friend for 50, will have to catch up with her later. She was not only a traveler, but a daughter (Henry and Lucille Kroeker), a sister (Shelley and Cindy), a mother (Lindsay and Roxanne), a mother-in-law (William and Jace), a grandmother (Indigo and Fox), and everybodys best friend. She had wanted a full Viking Funeral: archers on the shore firing flaming arrows at the wooden boat carrying her resting body out to sea… but a simpler celebration of this remarkable woman has been planned. Please join us at 4:00pm Sunday, June 19, at cSpace King Edward, 1721 29th Avenue SW, T2T 6T7, the home of Dougs studio. Gayles favourite songs will be the soundtrack, her favourite snacks (Callebaut chocolate, red wine) will refresh you, cheeses and root beer will also be on hand at Dougs request. A looping slide show in the theatre will share her favourite memories and places. Dougs drawings and paintings of her will be on display on the first-floor adjacent gallery space. Dougs cousin Donald Goertz will complete the celebration with some remarks at around 5:00pm. So many have cared for us, carried us, through difficult times. THANK YOU.
