Frederick 'Fred' Joseph Odo was born on January 17, 1953, in Glace Bay, NS, to Elizabeth and Fred Odo. He passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026, in Didsbury, AB, at the age of 73 years.

Fred was known by those who loved him as a happy-go-lucky, good man who loved the simple life. He had an excellent ear for music and enjoyed playing his guitar. He spent his working life expanding his skills at CBS Records, on construction sites, and by driving Semi-Trucks transporting goods.

Later in life, he met and fell in love with Marsha Brown. They enjoyed twenty-two years together and married on August 17, 2019, in the backyard of the home they shared, surrounded by friends and family.

Fred will be greatly missed by his beloved wife, Marsha Brown; his two sons, Keith and Christopher; and his brother-in-law, Mike.

To honour Fred’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral services held.

If family and friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society.
