Evan Murray Silver passed away peacefully, with family by his side, on May 01, 2025, after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis. He leaves behind his loving wife, Verda, daughter Lisa (Nathan) and son Travis (Jenell). He is also survived by his siblings Ian (Della), Irene (Ralph), Esther (Les) and Greig (Lucy).

The son of Andrew Silver and Violet Ginther, Evan was the fourth of their five children. He grew up on the family farm in the Huxley, Trochu area. After high school he spent some time working in the oil patch before having a lifetime successful career in long haul trucking throughout Canada and the US.

He also was an accomplished woodworker and the items he made and others refinished will be cherished remembrances for his family.

Evan especially loved his motor trike, enjoying many trips with Verda and friends around Alberta and BC, including the West Coast and Vancouver Island.

A Graveside Service for family will be held Friday, May 9, at 1 PM at the Arthervale Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 10, from 1-5 PM, at The Didsbury Memorial Complex Arena. 1702, 21 Avenue, Didsbury.
