Eva Amy Adams (nee Lanz) was born in Medicine Hat, AB, on August 18, 1933, to Christian and Gertrude Lanz. She peacefully passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026, in Lethbridge, AB.
Early life for Eva was growing up on the family farm in Etzikom, AB, where she lived for eighteen years.
Eva moved to Carseland, AB, and was working in a café where she met the love of her life, William Adams. They married on August 15, 1953. It wasn’t long before starting of family of six boys, Robert, Charles, Ronald, Gordon, Randy, and Benjamin. Years passed until William packed up the family to move to Biesker & Acme, AB, area. William worked on farms before joining the Alberta Wheat Pool. Eva still waited on people in the Acme Café and took an interest in community groups.
Eva joined the Royal Purple, volunteering over the years and was voted a life member. Other groups she belonged to were the United Church Women, the Legion, and the Rebekahs.
She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, William Admas who passed on September 27, 2000. As well as her siblings, Adam Lanz, Rose Heitrich, George Lanz, John Lanz, Peter Lanz, Florence Kimmitt, Jacob Lanz, Christian Lanz, Harry Lavoie, Joseph Lanz, Leonard Lanz, Mary McCaig, Arnold Lanz, and Kenny Lanz.
Eva is loving remembered by her children, Robert ‘Bob’ (Pat) Adams, Charles ‘Chuck’ (Ruth) Adams, Ronald ‘Ron’ Adams, Gordon Adams, Randy Adams, and Benjamin Adams; her seven grandchildren, Robert Reimer, Christopher Adams, Shaun Adams, Melissa Enns, Krista Courchesne, Zackery Adams, and Mitchell Adams; as well as her eight great-grandchildren, Sophia Reimer, Liam Reimer, James Adams, Sophia Adams, Amani Adams, Jabali Adams, Jackson Enns, and Blake Enns.
Funeral Services will be held at Acme United Church, Acme, AB, on Monday, June 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Acme Cemetery. Reception to follow at Acme United Church.
If family and friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the charity of the donor’s choice.
