It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Ervin Hein on February 10th, 2017 in Red Deer. He is pre-deceased by his parents Gotlieb and Karoline and his wife Helga. He is survived by his two daughters Teresa Fisher and Melinda Easton (Kevin), four grandsons Allan (Jill), Rob (Daryl), Randy (Shannon) and Terry (Nikki) and nine great grandchildren Joel, Sara, Hayden, Kate, Nathan, Liam, Makenna, Ella and Zoey. Ervin was born in Dansik Germany on August 20, 1928 and his family quickly emigrated to Canada. They settled in Alberta where the family began farming. Ervin met the love of his life Helga Rode and they were married on January of 1953. Ervin and Helga shared their love for camping with friends and family and Ervin continued camping into his mid-eighties. He could always be counted on to find anything that was broken and fix it. Ervin also held many jobs during his life but his heart was in farming and the land always called him back. Family and friends remember Ervin for his Kindness, gentle words and love for his family.
