Elmer Kesterke, age 91, joined Our Father in heaven on January 2, 2022, from the Red Deer hospital after a bout of pneumonia. He was born to Emma and Julius Kesterke on March 30, 1930, in Trochu, Alberta. Elmer was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was predeceased by his first wife Marlene, and two sons, Leroy, and Lyle. He is survived by his wife Marian of 48 years, his children Ralph Kesterke, Carol Schiele, Karen (Doug) Fenton and his grandchildren Scott, Brent, Brady, Paige, Kaitlyn and Ethan as well as numerous other family and friends. Elmer was a dedicated and passionate farmer and long-time member of the Trochu Baptist Church. He will be remembered as a fun and caring man who was full of life. Always with a smile on his face, ready to tell a story or a joke. He will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts. Memorial donations may be made to S.T.A.R.S.
