Elda Schartner Toews took her flight to be with Jesus on November 6, 2019. She was born to John and Mary Schartner on December 28, 1924, in the Linden area. Mom gave her heart to Jesus and was baptised into the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. She married our father - Harvey in 1946. Mom and Dad raised us five children with lots of love, laughter and prayers. She was a good Schartner cook and often whistled while she worked. She will be remembered for her love of little children and her belief that dessert was the best part of the meal. Mom's legacy to us is her deep unconditional love. We love to imagine Mom walking in Heaven where her feet no longer hurt. We, who will miss her most are: Arlene and Rick; Megan (Brent) Garry and Sheila; and Parker (Chelsie) Glenda and Bob; Michelle, Larry (Sarah), Greg (Amy), Tammy (Brad), Denielle (Shane) Wanita Wally and Chris; Lacey (Ilomy), Cade (Kayla), Sally Jo (Carson), Jenna (Troy), Brya-lee 18 great grandchildren She leaves behind 2 sisters, Josie Regehr and Lavina Enns. She is predeceased by her husband, one grandson, 4 sisters and 2 brothers. In her last years she struggled to remember names but was free with her love and compliments.
