Edwin William (Bill) Rea, aged 65, passed on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Red Deer Hospital. Bill was born October 25, 1952 in Rosetown, Saskatchewan to Harold and Kathleen Rea. He was the third-born of four sons. In July of 1981, Bill married Karen Rea, with whom they had two children. Early in his career, Bill began his own upholstery business. He really enjoyed taking something old and making it look new again. In the summer of 1989, the family moved from Plenty, Saskatchewan to Red Deer County and Bill joined his father-in-law working in a wheelchair repair shop in Red Deer. A few years later, he began his own business from home as a custom wheelchair seating technician. Bill worked with many people with disabilities and was committed to improving their quality of life. Bill loved to spend time with friends and family, laughing and seeing the lighter side of life. He was a loving and caring person, devoted husband, father, and friend, always thinking of others first. Bill leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife, Karen; his children, Amber, and Cody, along with his fiancée Cassandra; his grandchildren, Russell and Stella; his mother, Kathleen; brother Dave and his wife Lorraine; brother Vern and his wife Debbie; aunts, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
