IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Earl James
Stirling
April 19, 1950 – May 16, 2024
Earl James "Jim" Stirling, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2024, at the age of 74 in Trochu, Alberta, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on April 19, 1950, in Carman, Manitoba, Jim's infectious laughter and warm presence touched the lives of many throughout his rich and fulfilling life.
Jim was a devoted family man who treasured his wife Pat, with whom he shared a beautiful life filled with love and companionship. His legacy lives on through his children, Jeff (Renee), Liz, Deanna and his adoring grandchildren, Connor, Quinn and Riley, who will miss their "Pa" deeply. Jim's gentle spirit and friendly demeanor made him a cornerstone within his family, providing a foundation of strength and joy.
A man of many talents, Jim received his Journeyman's Gas Fitter certificate, which led to a fulfilling career with Canadian Western Natural Gas (Atco Gas). He dedicated 34 years of service before retiring and embarking on a new adventure as the owner of The Store in Trochu. His work ethic and commitment to excellence were evident to all who knew him, and his contributions to his community will not be forgotten.
Jim's passion for life extended beyond his professional endeavors. He was an avid sports fan, with a loyalty to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers that never wavered, regardless of their season's fortunes. Above all, Jim's greatest love was being "Pa" to his three grandchildren. The time he spent with them, filled with laughter and learning, was the source of his deepest pride and joy.
Those who had the pleasure of knowing Jim will remember him as a funny, gentle, and friendly soul. His ability to bring humor into any situation and his readiness to lend a helping hand are hallmarks of his character. He had the rare ability to make everyone around him feel special and valued.
Rest in peace, Jim. Your legacy will endure through the love you've instilled in your family, the friendships you've nurtured, and the community you've enriched. Your spirit will continue to guide us, and your memory will always be a treasure held close to our hearts.
