It is with great shock and sadness that, on Monday, November 25th, 2019, David Chan, loving husband, son and brother, passed away suddenly at the young age of 57. David will be forever loved and remembered by his wife of 21 years, soul mate, spiritual partner, best friend and partner in everything, Norma, and by his Rottweiler, Meika, and by his parents Kuen and Shirley, and by his sisters, Linda (Roy) and Maria (Hui) and brothers-in-law, Steven and Kenneth, and by his mother-in-law, Eugenia and step-dad-in-law, Jim, by his niece and nephew, Stefani-Anne, Garrett, Makenzie and Nathaniel. David will also be fondly remembered by his numerous extended family and dear, dear friends that are like family. David was born on January 26, 1962 in a small town, Weyburn, Saskatchewan. As a teenager, along with his family, he relocated to Richmond, British Columbia in 1977. He married his wife and soul mate, Norma on July 18, 1998 and together made a big move, from big city living, to live a peaceful rural living in Swalwell, Alberta in July of 2018. In early adult life, David was a RCMP officer and had to give it up due to PTSD. David then moved on to become an entrepreneur covering many different types of businesses such as, restaurant owner, importer, butcher shop owner, photographer, commodities advisor, snake breeder, wood worker, cannabis advocate, microgreens grower … all dealt with a passion, an open mind and strong set of morals and business ethics. Even with all the ongoing business dealings, David, being a very spiritual person and a giver, together with his wife Norma, also find time to help people in sharing their positive philosophy of life and to teach and counsel people to help them in bringing their mind, body and soul together, whereby, people can live a happy life. Join us to say good bye, on Sunday, December 8th, 2019 at 3 pm, a viewing service to be held at Sunset Funeral Home in Linden, Alberta. Followed by a Celebration of Life to share memories of this amazing man, at 5 pm at Linden Care & Share Society, at First Street SE, Linden, Alberta.
