Obituary

Bradley Jon Goetz was born June 12, 1964 in Nyack, New York. He was the fourth of five children for Bill and Joyce Goetz. A few years after his birth, the family moved to Canada spending time in Vancouver, Regina and finally settling in Abbotsford, where Brad graduated high school. In 1986 he married Connie Block and together they had Joshua and Leah. In 1996 Brad and the kids moved to Linden. Brad loved living in the community and enjoyed his family, friends, sports, and working. He was a talented artist and creative person and loved sharing his artwork. It was as a teenager that Brad accepted Christ as his Saviour and he was actively involved in the church, teaching Sunday School and doing work in prison ministry. Brad was diagnosed with Crohns disease at the age of 17, which led to many health complications, surgeries and hospital visits throughout his life. Despite this, Brad was known for his positivity and found many things to be thankful for, especially his children and grandchildren. Over the last few years Brads health declined and on April 29, 2022 he passed away in the hospital into the presence of his Lord. He is survived by his two children, Joshua (Jamie) Goetz and Leah (Tyler) Goetz; two grandchildren; his mother Joyce Goetz; siblings Brenda (Gerry) Peters, Brent Goetz, Bonnie (Duncan) McDonald, Bryan Goetz and many nieces, nephews and friends. Memorial donations may be made to Lachlan Toews' Gutsy Walk Fundraiser for Crohn's and Colitis Research. "but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
