Arvid Verle Forsberg was born to Raymond and Mabel (Lapointe) Forsberg on October 23, 1941, in the Rose Brier Nursing Home. Dad slipped away peacefully in the evening hours of February 24, 2016. Dad's childhood was spent in the Ferintosh and Edberg areas. He was interested in mechanics at a young age and began his schooling to become a mechanic in 1962. Dad gave his heart to the Lord in his later teens and was baptized into the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite on October 15, 1961 by minister Edward Boese. On May 5, 1963, Dad was united in marriage to our mother, Rosabelle Isaac. This union was blessed with one son and three daughters, one of whom passed away in infancy. In 1997, Mom and Dad sold their farm in Edberg and moved to Fort Vermilion, Alberta. Dad was a hardworking man, spending long hours out in the shop or on the farm. Dad was also very willing to help anyone who needed it and gave generously from his heart, whether with advice or guidance. Dad loved his family. Each one of his children and grandchildren were very precious to him. Dad loved the Lord till the end and we commit him to the Lord with joy in our hearts. Dad leaves to mourn Rose, his loving wife of fifty-two years, daughter Jolene (Myron) Friesen of Fort Vermilion, Alberta; son Verle of Wainwright, Alberta; and daughter Roxanne of Fort Vermilion, Alberta; grandchildren Travis (Tanya), Tyler, Emilee, and Andrea Friesen; Trevor, Jamie, and Carley Forsberg; Ashley and Brandon Batke; siblings Elmer (Mary) Forsberg, Ardell (Grace) Forsberg, Diane (Dale) Keitges, and Leland (Margaret) Forsberg; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law as well as a host of friends. Preceding him in death are his parents, Raymond and Mable Forsberg; parents-in-law, Sol and Margreth Isaac; infant daughter Roselia, brothers Gerald Forsberg and Debbner Forsberg, as well as two brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law.
