Arnold Delair Smith passed away while harvesting on November 1, 2020 at the age of 80. Arnold is survived by his mother Ida, wife Connie, his brothers Dwayne, Miles, and Darrel, and his sister-in-law Dianne. He also leaves to mourn his passing, his children: Tracy (John), and Clint, and granddaughter Em, as well as step-children Larry (Tracy) Tricia (Brian), Ryan (Melanie) and grandchildren Kimberley, Maggie, Paige, Rachel and Tyler. Arnold was predeceased by his father Albert, his first wife Vikki, his sister-in-law Caroline, and his grandson Jacob. Arnold was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather, and a dedicated farmer and entrepreneur. We remember his optimism, his humor, his carefree attitude, his kindness, and his mechanical ingenuity. Arnold worked many jobs including road construction, oil field, trucking, encyclopedia sales, and housing construction before eventually returning to farming – with a urethane business on the side to feed his entrepreneurial spirits. He insulated large structures but preferred more neighborly work at nearby farms and Hutterite colonies where he was enjoyed for his craft and his charm. He was the heart and spirit of the family and loved by all.
