Antoinette Randon born March 14, 1921 in Stettler, Alberta passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Health Care Center on October 13, 2018 at the age of 97. Antoinette was the oldest of four children born to Roch and Therese Randon. She took her schooling in Spring Lake School north of Fenn, AB. She spent 1 year in the Red Deer Convent. In 1956 she worked in Edmonton and in 1957 entered into a nursing program in Calgary along with her sister Anne-Marie. Both of them graduated from their nursing program and Antoinette then worked in Calgary for a few years. In 1960 she moved to Coquitlam, BC where she then nursed for some years. She enjoyed reading, gardening, hiking, traveling and outdoor activities. She was involved in real estate for awhile as well. She did make a trip out to Alberta each summer to visit family as that was important to her. In 2013 she moved back to Alberta to be closer to family. She enjoyed having her sister Anne-Marie close in Trochu as well as her brother Jack and sister in law Helene in Edmonton. Antoinette spent 3 years at The Chateau in Three Hills and then moved to St. Mary's extended care. Antoinette leaves to mourn her brother Jack (Helene) Randon of Edmonton, AB, her sister Anne-Marie Lemay of Trochu, AB as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was pre deceased by her father Roch Randon in 1940, her brother Henri Randon in 1964, her mother Therese Randon in 1996, and her brother in law Louis Lemay in 1997. She was also pre deceased by her niece Irene Aman in 2002, her niece Eileen Spillett in 2009, her longtime friend John Kryski in 2012 and her nephew Roch Randon in 2014. Antoinette will be lovingly remembered by all her family and friends. A Funeral Mass will be held October 19, 2018 at 1 pm at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Trochu, Alberta. Interment to follow. Those who so desire, may make a memorial donation to St. Mary's Foundation.
