Obituary

On April 3, 2018, the Lord called Allie (Aaltje) Klosse to her heavenly home. Allie was born May 10, 1927 in the village of Nieuwleusen, which is situated in the northeast region of The Netherlands. She was the oldest daughter of Hendrik and Gerritdina Belt. As a child, she attended the elementary school in Nieuwleusen. For high school she biked 20 kilometers to the city of Zwolle. After completion of high school, she worked in a volunteer health care center providing care for returning workers who had been forced laborers in Germany during World War II. This experience created a great desire for Allie to train as a nurse. However her nursing career was cut short as she returned home to help her mother care for a new baby sister. Allie then found employment at a psychiatric facility as an office manager. Allie and Harry Klosse attended high school together and became sweethearts. They were married in Nieuwleusen on April 21, 1954. 10 days after their marriage, they immigrated by ship to Canada. They arrived in Quebec and continued their journey by rail to Barrie, Ontario where Allies brother Ralph and sister, Diane were waiting to welcome them. They settled in Creemore, Ontario for 10 years where Harry worked as a baker and Allie was a homemaker. Gerald, Greg and John were welcomed into their home during these years. In 1957, they attended a Leighton Ford/Billy Graham crusade in Barrie where they became followers of Christ and developed a strong desired to serve Him. They found their place of service in the bakery at Prairie Bible Institute where they worked for 30 years until retirement. Allie leaves behind her loving husband of 64 years, Harry Klosse; sons Gerald (Brenda), Greg (Vivian), and John (Sandy Willems) Klosse and 6 grandchildren Nathan, Christi, Matthew, Bailey, Jake and Jessie Klosse. She also leaves behind her brother Ralph (Elaine) Belt, Diane Belt, brothers-in-law Francis (Carol) Younker, Gerrit (Jenny) Klosse, Johan Klosse as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
